    Advanced Techniques in Groundwater Modeling

    Course Summary

This course expands on introductory groundwater modeling concepts and delves into advanced numerical techniques used for solving complex hydrogeological problems. Topics include transient flow modeling, solute transport modeling, parameter estimation, and sensitivity analysis. Participants will gain practical experience with model calibration and validation to improve groundwater resource management and contaminant migration predictions.

    Key Learning Outcomes

    • Develop and calibrate complex groundwater models.
    • Use transient flow and contaminant transport modeling for advanced hydrogeological assessments.
    • Perform model sensitivity analysis and error evaluation.
    • Apply state-of-the-art modeling software to real-world groundwater challenges.
